The Denver Art Museum (DAM) houses over 70,000 works of art in its collection [1]. It has been ranked #5 museum destination in the world [2] by Travel & Leisure Magazine and holds many treasures works such as “The Great Kiva” by Awa Tsireh (1922), “My Head Was Changed” by Tony Abeyta (1965), and much more.

One of DAM’s best features is its free admission! That means it doesn’t matter how much money you have in your pocket when you visit; everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy the wonderous exhibits inside. This not only goes for the citizens living in Colorado but also people who are visiting Denver.

The Denver Art Museum understands this and wants little ones to experience the wonder behind paintings, sculptures, pottery, etc. A wonderful example is the Family Program Series that helps families explore different aspects of art through experiences together. The museum also has a KidSpace where kids can create their own work of art.

The Bloch Building will be an expansion attached to the North Building, adding significantly more gallery space for all types of exhibitions.
